Why isn't Anthony Trister's CSM a scam?!?

1. Because it's so inexpensive.

2. Because you learn something.

Why is it a scam?

a. Because he doesn't deliver on his promises - other than a few.

b. Because he lays out in his video's exactly how he runs these "releases".

Sure, you only pay only $37 - but all you get is exposed to a bunch of affiliate sales moguls.

Their lists are people who are addicted to "Internet Marketing" and haven't learned how to distinguish between real and exaggerated.

Consider me wrong? Look over his videos in his "Million Dollar Launch Secrets" and find exactly what he planned to do all along.

Was he really going to keep this going? Nope. Didn't have a history of it and it's run the course he set for it.

Expect him to surface in a month or so crowing about how much money he made in so little time.

What you really see is how much education he delivered - to people who bought his hosting package and then immediately had to move over to somewhere else. Wanna bet they didn't just trade off all that for some email addresses?

Take my advice and visit SBI to get a real hosting which delivers on their promises for real.

3 Types of People Who Use the Internet

There are essentially three types of people who use the Internet and 3 uses for it.

1. The first (and original) use was to share information.
2. Next became commerce, both buying and selling.
3. Recently, a social atmosphere has developed, where people are looking to be part of and grow a community of like-minded people.

This gives us:
a) Information Hounds
b) Buyers and Sellers
c) Socializers.

1 and 3 do not like to be sold anything. They distrust a lot of what goes for sales in general. Of course, spammers and Internet Marketing "guru's" have themselves to blame for this. The hard-core buyers don't mind so much. eBay is a way to find exactly what this mindset is.

But people who are looking for information, as well as those simply looking to socialize probably outnumber buyer-sellers by a great percentage.

It doesn't mean that these can't cross. But you have to know that when you are trying to buy or sell something, you are going to run into people complaining that a page is too "salesy". To a real buyer, this doesn't matter. They will simply scroll down to the price point to see if it's in their budget.

The greatest majority of the work on the web is really misplaced. They are trying to please everyone all the time. While the most successful sales people simply go ahead and write the nuts-and-bolts ecommerce site which buyers will look for. Amateur sellers are mislead by the idea that you have to try to mollify these other types in order to convert them to buyers. But that's not particularly going to happen.

Pro sellers simply design their pages around a specific long-tail-keyword product - which is usually a particular brand of something. And then will back up from that and build "non-salesy" pages which link to that and put these on various other types of websites and social properties. All that is to get link-credibility and authority so that their original page ranks higher in the search engines.

When people are looking for a certain product to buy they will search for that specific keyword and they want to know just a few things:
- is it available now.
- can I buy it easily now.
- how long will it take to get here.
- is it overall cheaper here than anywhere else.

The two common denominators are speed and cost. Of course the information has to be accurate. And you want that page to be ranked highly by search engines so that buyers visit your site first.

Practically, you can ignore the other two areas if you are wanting to sell something - almost. The problem is that the search engines are involved in remaining popular. So they are fascinated with the social sites. SE's want to stay popular because they sell advertising that way (yes, converting viewers to buyers.) It doesn't matter that fewer people are even looking at ads than ever before.
But if you want your sales page to be looked at, you are going to have to put some non-salesy pages up on social sites for the search engines to rank. Mostly, these are set up to link back to a set of landing pages on your own domain. That's how you get your own domain to rank highly.

Of course, there are methods to get your main site "voted up" and "bookmarked" so the search engines consider that your site is "popular". And these are all playing the game of search engine one-up-man-ship. And as long as it's not widespread, the search engines don't particularly care. As you "prove" by backlinks that your sites are valuable because they cross all the T's and dot all the I's - then your site is OK.

These complaints about shoddy sites which aren't any good as far as content, are being held to that Information standard. But that's been the complaint forever. What's popular doesn't have to make sense. People looking for just information will probably have to wade through the "McDonald's" and "White Castle" versions of what they want before they can actually get down to someone who knows something. Meaning that you are going to have to modify your search to get to the actual data. It means that forums and discussion groups (and blogs which have a lot of comments on them) will be higher than some person who's been there and done that, but doesn't really optimize his pages to fit the social norms search engines are looking for.

So SEO these days isn't just getting your pages properly titled and back-linked. But this helps more than people generally think. It's also getting social approval for what you are posting - which is another subject entirely.

Making a Real Online Business

I've been hesitant to post this, simply as I'm still in the middle of testing. But since it's getting results, and looks to be useful, here's the preliminary findings:

Let's recap about the 3-legged stool search engines sit on:

When you look over the various breakdowns of search engine behavior, there are three points (in different descriptions) which have been found to be consistently prized by search engines:
Content
Authority
Social Proof
Content - this must be fresh, substantial, and original.

Authority - your content needs to use related terms, and sites which link to yours should be talking about what you are talking about. (A bioengineering thesis would be linked to by other bio-engineers, a cooking recipe would be linked to by other cooking sites or cooks.)

Social Proof - people "vote up" and bookmark your site, as well as "tweet" or post statuses about your content.

Now, there are various ways to go about this. Let me give you the short version. This is pretty technical, as I don't have time right now to flesh it out into a step-by-step set of actions.

1. You have to follow your passion - what you could talk about all day - when you are creating content. A tool to find content to write about is Google Alerts, which will bring this to you in your email or feed reader.

Another tool, Google Adwords External Tool will give you what Google thinks about your terms and provide you with profitable keywords where people are actually buying things (see their average CPC - it needs to be greater than .05)

Next, you'll want to be able to re-purpose this content so that you "write once, publish many times." The search engines have this rumor going around about duplicate content. While this mostly applies to content on a single site, most of the sites out there which are soliciting content want your content to be fresh and original. (This is simply a sign that the spammers have already been busy before you got here.)

The way to make new content is to "spin" it, or use substitute words and/or paragraphs at various points in the text. Some studies have shown that it only needs to be about 40% different. An online tool to help you with this is http://spinz.me and a free (ad-supported) duplicate content checker is available at http://dupefreepro.com (as well as a decent discussion of this subject.)

2. Authority is gotten from inbound links. With the rise of social media, there are many different sites out there who crave content. By republishing your content (all using your chosen keywords), you can have many different sites linking to your main site (thousands, in fact, if you want to work that hard.)

But check out http://knowem.com to see what the top ones are (only about 500).

3. To get social proof, you'll need to get your stuff voted up and bookmarked. While self-promotion is frowned upon, you can do this to get the ball rolling with tools like onlywire.com and socialposter.com - the trick is that the IP address of your computer is logged, so they know exactly where a bookmark is coming from. So you can essentially only vote and bookmark a site once.

To let the search engines know that your stuff is there, you want to use http://pingomatic.com as well as one of those bookmarking services.

If your stuff is written to be popular, there's a chance it will be picked up by others and bookmarked as well. But simply bookmarking and pinging your own will get this started.

Here's a preliminary result for this, with one of the keywords I've used for a site I'm promoting at http://worstellfarms.com (arrows are my properties):

Points to note here are that this is a fairly small competition scene, and actually has very few people looking. But that's key, as it's local search I'm looking for.

You'll also see that I've used PDF's created from the original page which then link back to that page. So while my actual page for that keyword shows up 5th on the page, 3 of the 4 which rank higher all link back to it. I've essentially not only gotten onto the front page of Google, but pushed 4 other possible competitors off.

Again, this isn't really ready for prime time. I've got some programs and services which I use that help with this. But right now I don't have time to write these up as my testing is still refining my actions. That refund has now shown up in my PayPal account.

But I take it from what you said that CSM cannot initiate a refund for any of it's customers, but instead it is up to the customer to actually push through their own refund?

CSM customers have to push through their own refund. "Customer Care" doesn't, actually. They can't originate to Clickbank and get them to refund when they goof up. So if you don't push it through - guess what? You get billed again and again.

I've gone over before that this stuff Trister offers won't even get you started with any additional income on it's own. It's more Internet Marketing Hype - just a hair above a scam. Sure, there are some specific video's which have some good tips. For instance, I like the ones on how to earn an income by writing. (Just don't sign up for her list - it's not run to give you more value, just more of the same offer over and over.)

What you will find over and over is that whatever they talk about, it's insufficient. If you already have a background in marketing or sales, then it fits into other frameworks and you can get an idea what to do. But you can't take their material and actually start from scratch and make any money online.

My advice is to simply scrape all the videos and materials you can off their site and move on. You can study it later in comparison to other materials. If you haven't signed up for CSM - don't.

The only workable system I personally know of is Site Build It. They have a track record since the early 1990's and the majority of their clients actually succeed. But in scratching my head about this, that was the only program in all my years of study that I could recommend to someone starting out.

But take what you learned from CSM, realize that it's insufficient, and move on.

I'm writing this as the tail end of what I learned from all this. I started this blog and got into CSM as a learning experience. And I just found out today that I actually made 2 affiliate sales from all this. Total of about $40. Of course, it took me far more than 40 hours to create this blog and promote it. So I basically earned my money back for paying for the course? Not so fast. It seems that Clickbank won't pay me that money until I get to $100 total - even though it's just transferred to PayPal. And if it sits there too long, they simply start deducting "maintenance fees" from it until it disappears. Been there, done that.

Cute.

But then, I came in this to see what I could learn. So I learned a lot about Anthony Trister, his Coffee Shop Millionaire, and Clickbank.

And so I don't recommend any of them to anyone anymore. Once burned, twice shy.

My advice here: don't pay for anything about Internet Marketing - look it up and test it for yourself. You can find and test everything that's being sold - it's all online.

Everything.

If you buy real coaching and instruction (like Site Build It!), then hold their feet to the fire and make them teach you. Otherwise, demand and get a refund.

All these gimmicks are just that. They are fly-by-night schemes. They make their originators money. But are otherwise worthless.

The best things in life are free. Or appear that way. Really, you invest your time to earn more money. You leverage what you understand and know that you can make work. That is what brings you a return on the time invested. You only get money back, however, never time. So invest wisely.

You won't find any of these Internet Marketing gurus hanging around much after they make their release. They are onto their next project. That's Anthony's lesson in this. He wanted to break into the "big money" from running a membership site - but had never run one before. So now, instead of giving the value he promised, he's just tied up into handling all the bombs which are going off in his face. Which of course just lights more fuses.

An honest-to-God Review of Anthony Trister's Coffee Shop Millionaire

Overall, Anthony Trister's Coffee Shop Millionaire is a good bargain.

And that's all.

While there are high points of it, and I learned quite a bit, I'm not impressed with Internet Marketers in general. Trister and his Coffee Shop Millionaire didn't raise the bar for me as far as making money online. He instead opened my eyes to more of what goes on which is called "agressive" marketing - and which is really just shy of scamming. This is a peek at the seemy underbelly behind these "Fantastic 7-Figure Releases!"

These marketers use the same emotional and psychological buttons as scammers, and all for the same short-term benefits. There are only a handful of these people who I have seen can actually keep a membership site running with continuing content right along. I think really that the guys over at Social Media Science have done the best job with this, and Howie Scwartz comes in a near second (closer to third, but I really don't know of anyone else who's done a decent job.)

There is perhap Michael Campbell, who was smart enough to simply be honest and say that he couldn't service more than 250 clients and has closed down his other operations. And there are others who run decent membership sites, but they don't do Internet Marketing.
Internet Marketers usually just run one-off operations, where they simply compile a group of people on a short project and then get as many sales as possible to "get 'r done." Sure, they may (as Anthony tells in his videos) offer the same product again - for a similarly short time - but generally Trister looks like he's gone from project to project and simply makes good income by creating these packages of affiliate-sponsored productions. He's not known for membership networks, which is what he's trying to sell here.

And if he hadn't over-hyped, over-promised on various points about this, I could consider that he's going to pull it off. But I've also watched his "underground" videos to know that there's some "aggressive" marketing going on.

Their general approach isn't to make a big release across the Internet, or even to build a brand of continuing materials - like Nightingale-Conant has done, or Laura Silva is doing in continuing her father's work. Of course the biggest continuing brands are in the self help arena, such as Bob Proctor. And he tells in his book "You Were Born Rich" how tough that industry is if you're in the least fake.

Internet Marketers run on the very high-octane, sugar-laced fuel of pitching their latest "get rich quick" models and methods about Internet Marketing to other Internet Marketers. A very inbred scene.

Trister cut his teeth on forex and other trading, so this is really his first entry into this area. And not a bad offering. But he's in with interesting bedfellows now.

And since I've been scammed more than once and wrote the book on how to get out from under, I am more than happy to get this material and learn what I can from it to improve my life, knowing that this material is never going to be life-changing. Could be, but won't be. Because they simply didn't go the extra mile, as Napoleon Hill recommends.

But I'm also from a very, very dedicated life working for little pay in the self-help and personal development fields, learning through hard knocks what life is all about. I've written my books about this and done my researches.

So if you were expecting more rah-rah about how great this Coffee Shop Millionaire system is, well - you got the most of this earlier.

What I haven't seen is a lot of kept promises. I've heard some hype which hasn't panned out and can't be verified. I've seen a great collection of videos from several affiliates. And I have eveery right to expect that I'm going to have to be opting-out from several different lists I haven't heard of before. Because that's the nature of the beast.

Their actual bottom line is that they think they are doing the world a favor with their marketing. And actually - only because the vast majority on this planet are clueless - they're right. But it doesn't have to be this way. Anyone can wise up, get scam free, and re-program their mind to live in the natural abundance and freedom which has always been there.
As for this subject, I wrote that book on honest Internet Marketing and haven't found anything in all this that has changed my mind or really improved on its basics. All these are just current techniques to pour the coal on what you already really want to do with your life. And the more passive income sources you can amass, the better off you will be.

By the time this post hits the fan, the release has been done and they've made their incredible amounts and are ready to move on. Unless there's some reason to revise this, it's now just a matter of them getting done with all they came to do and are now taking their just rewards in Brazil or somewhere and figuring out their next project.

The world continues to turn and 97% or more will get ready to plunk down another thousand or so for the Next Big Thing. 3% will make a decent profit off helping 1% get outrageously rich.

And for me, I've already started another study on the heels of this one. One last workover of what Internet Marketing is all about. This one is Howie Schwartz "Conversation Domination" - which is over-due for my personal review, even though Howie has moved onto his Black Hat project - he's still keeping going with his products and is able to make the markets give him his - due from keeping a tight finger on the pulse of Google and other search engines.

Somewhere between enduring a "day job" while you search for the next "breakthough" which will get your ship to come in, there's a middle ground.

For me, it's getting back to my T. Harv Eker recordings and converting my mind to its native millionaire status. And helping everyone I can to improve their lives into what they want it to be.

Between Trister, Heflin, and Schwartz, there's enough material to really make a very nice living with passive income from multiple, evergreen affiliate products. And yes, it could be working in coffeeshops anywhere - or simply sitting in my comfortable home office with all the chilled beverages I can stand. None of this is really hard when you put your mind to it. It does take knowing what's a scam and what isn't. How to make something work and what isn't worth your time investment.

Trister and his Coffee Shop Millionaire was worth everything I put into it. And I hope it was the same for you.

Beyond Trister is Heflin's Synnd and Schwartz' "Conversation Domination". Somewhere in the middle of this is a very simple way to keep your top standings and lots of affiliate sales to keep you in all the Starbucks you could ever want.

Coffee Shop Millionaire: Ya gotta love Hype to do Affiliate Marketing

Just got an inflated email today from Anthony Trister - Coffee Shop Millionaire founder.

And the point was to get affiliates excited. He says so in his video's inside the site. You want affiliate marketers heavily pushing their lists on your behalf.

He gave away some "cool" prizes to the top three affiliates. Of course, with my list, I'm nowhere near that. But the value here, and why I'm blogging, is study and learn from these materials.

My warning to you is to get your self scam free before you get into this. You can then go into this with both eyes wide open. And the fact that you're getting hyped doesn't bother you so much.

The inspiration for this post was simply that he through out some figures which didn't add up. The link to the blog which was getting all that response was simply a squeeze page to get affiliates to sign up to his list.

A search on Google did show up a blog on his domain - but it had only four posts and no comments.

But I'm not blaming Andrew for stretching the facts. As you watch his videos (and there's a ton of them on his Coffee Shop Millionaire site) you'll see exactly where he's coming from. That's the way he's wired and the Kool-Aid he's drinking. The nature of the beast, as it were.

I'm a believer in Honest Internet Marketing, however. That's why I took an 800-page book filled with PLR and re-wrote it from the bottom up into what I called "The Online Sunshine Plan" - to throw some light on the truths behind what marketing is, whether it's online or not.

Sure, it's relatively easy money to get a list of buyers and keep putting offers in front of them. And I could diverge here to say that this is exactly what lead-generation companies do. In fact, I found that my name was recently being sold all over again, some 3 years after I got scammed by them. (One reason I got onto an unlisted, throw-away cel.)

Your list is actually a reflection of your community. The people there are real and actual. They have jobs, they have lives to lead, they have families and homes.

And remember that Golden Rule: what you send out is right now coming back to you. It might be delayed, but as you hype, you are going to get hyped. If you rip off, you are going to get ripped off. But - as you deliver incredible value, then you'll receive this in return.

One caveat that came up in the videos was that it's OK to do "aggressive" marketing if your value is way higher than what they pay, well - the ends justify the means.

I say, No. That's not the way to do it. People can look up what you say on the web now and verify everything. (This is making career politicians a dying breed.) The real scene you have to deal with is your own life. As you give, you'll get back - in spades.

That's the difference between me and Anthony Trister.

Now, I still say you should sign up for this product if you get someone promoting it to you (like this link - Click Here). Because I've signed up for it and I consider that abour 4 dozen videos which can actually help you improve your life are quite worth it. There's tons more value than you would pay for otherwise.

Consider if you put all these onto DVD's how much space it would take. Then how much you would have to pay for the packaging and shipping to get those to you. Just invest the bandwidth and download them to your drive in some way you can then study them. And then do study them.

For the price he's currently asking, it's way more valuable than most "make money online" study systems out there. IMHO, anyway.

Yes, I'm Torqued with Poor Service from Coffee Shop Millionaire

Perhaps it's just the pre-launch chaos. Or maybe the gal that Anthony Trister hired for his Coffee Shop Millionaire doesn't really know what she's doing.

One thing to take away is that when a person isn't serviced well, they'll complain to more people than they would tell about any good service. In this case (as I told them) I blog daily about their scene. And so far, I've loved their products. But they have a ways to go to reach exemplary (or even average) service levels.

This blog (Coffee-Shop-Millionaire.Blogspot.com) is, of course, a study which act as a learning experience. We are studying Coffee Shop Millioinaire launch as it happens. And we are studying the materials of the site itself in order to dissemble what is happening as it does.
Right now, we are just within a week from the actual launch. And some interesting things are shaking out with this.

I had signed up earlier and got my access with just a little hitch - their link didn't work. An email to support got me the right link. When I saw that their videos were going to cost me substantially in bandwidth, I took the plunge of sigining up for their PRO version so I could simply get the MP3's. Unfortunately, that also didn't work. So another note to Support and unfortunately, she just gave me a link back to the sign-up form. I replied that I had already paid, and gave her my reciept.

4 days later, I still didn't have any resolution. (So much for "instant access".) As she hadn't replied, I looked up the support site again and sent her a request for refund. That was Sunday.

On Monday, she tersely replied - "You'll have to go to Clickbank." And, true to form, the link she gave me was the wrong one.

After I jumped through several of Clickbank's pages, I found their support. Then I had to dig up my invoice number (that's why they tell you to print it off...) and sent a note along to them.
While it took me minutes to sign up, it took over an hour just to find and apply for a refund.
So much for CRM.

This is then a note of what not to do on a release. (And especially on a pre-release to an affiliate who says he's blogging...)

The same day, I got a call from Infusionsoft, who was replying to a detailed e-mail reply I sent them as part of an ask-off their mailing list. A VP of Marketing wanted to touch base with me to get my data and see if I was a fit for them. He was very understanding and honest about how they had their emails set up and what they were doing to improve their offerings. So I am inclined to send anyone with a small business (which is making enough income for their all-in-one solution) to try them when their own autoresponder proves too limiting.

(Unfortunately, they've chosen a very stodgey affiliate company instead of doing this in-house - so I have to jump through more hoops to sign up as an affiliate - *sigh*.)

So this isn't rocket science when you deal with someone. You treat them fairly. Use common sense. And streamline your online activities with an eye to best-possible user experience.
But it is the difference between professionalism and profiteering, of actual in-for-the-long-haul businesses and seat-of-the-pants affiliate marketers.

PS. I still consider the Coffee Shop Millionaire video collection to be a bargain. But go in there with your eyes wide open and keep your expectations real.

Coffee Shop Millionaire Release: organized super-hype - or - controlled chaos you love

You really have to understand the difference between a "make money online" scam and Internet Marketing to really appreciate Anthony Trister's Coffee Shop Millionaire video series: "Million Dollar Launch Secrets". (Of course you can always get your self scam free, first.)

I'm just over half-way through the several hours of video's he's put inside his site. This is really, overall, an incredible education on how Internet Marketers work behind the scenes to get the maximal sales methods.

Right now, I'm working through a video called "The Launch Schedule". While Anthony is adament about only offering the highest-quality products, he also uses "agressive" sales techniques. And this is what differs him from a simple scam. (Scammers just don't care about whether people drop off and start hitting the forums to criticize where they got it from. To them, it's simply a numbers-game - and guess what: you're just a number.)

Anthony plays this different. He's honest. What he offers in this video is how to start and stop your offer, as well as the emails you need to send out and when. And a lot of these are built on the point of creating some real scarcity of supply, which in turn heightens demand.

When the buzz gets out about how people really profited from this product - and it was actually (as promised) a much greater value for the price - then that word of mouth in turn brings more customers back, plus adds to the returning clients who want more.

Before this, I'd never heard of Trister. Because I don't do forex or other trading. And that was where he learned his marketing methods. But that's OK with Anthony, because as he says, it's often easier to be the guy behind the guru than it is to be the guru himself. Another person in these videos said that this strategy is to "play a second-base position in order to get first-base income."

But even with the various oops and goofs that can happen in pre-launch (as one of the videos in this particular series covers), I'm still convinced that Anthony has cobbled together an incredible product of these several dozen videos that you can study over time.

Right now, I have at least four new approaches to earning money locally and online that I didn't know before - and lots more affiliate products I can push from my end to earn extra passive income without having to work at some dreary day job (or extra moonlight second jobs) in order to get the extra money to meet my weekly budget.

And I still have about 22 more videos that I really want to see, plus over a dozen background technical videos to watch as a review of technical basics. While I wouldn't call it "pumped", I would say that I'm more than satisfied with what the Coffee Shop Millionaire has delivered so far.

Today's article from Anthony Trister of "Coffee Shop Millionaire" fame, has some caveats to know about before you go "whole hog" on these as a main income source.

Ebooks have a learning curve. Frankly, there is more direct way to make money by hiring yourself out as a writer or editor to create ebooks for others to give away then there is by doing the work of ensuring you have all the surveys and know-how to make one succeed. In the Coffee Shop Millionaire videos, however, there is a professional writer named Sue LaPoint who gives you all the tips on how to break into this writing field on your own. Note also, that you need to understand how Clickbank works in order to really make ebooks into a decent auxiliary income.

Amazon, frankly, can be disappointing. In order to make their affiliate program succeed, you have to do just like any other affiliate program - which is to build a site around that book and drive interested traffic to it. Don't think that just putting some affiliate links up on your site will do much of anything in terms of sales.

Yahoo stores are really for someone who already knows the in's and out's of running an online business. Consider that you are spending $40 per month - every single month of the year from here on out - in rent for a stall where you can pitch your wares. If you don't already know how to do this, then it's tricky. Ebay has these as well. So you need to keep your eyes open.

Yes, you can "make money online" with any or all of these. But don't quit your day job while you learn. Hello again.

The pitches are flying now as we are in pre-release mode. So I sent most of today's post out to my own list subscribers.

The reason I did something so counter-intuitive was that the guys who have opted-in to my list aren't your run-of-the mill customers. (And since you've found this blog, you're included.)

While it would be improper to give you the pitch I was emailed, I wanted to update you on the progress.

Yesterday, I went through this guys video's. Well, I downloaded them all, anyway. I'll be sorting through them this weekend and doing reviews of them. The impression I have now: so far, so good.

As I can, I've blogged my studies here - and of course, these aren't perfect either.

If I had you in front of me, I could tell you exactly what is going on. But these emails and blogs are the best way to let you know.

This is mostly a video site. Heavy bandwidth use. They are in pre-launch, a tiny few of the links don't work. But that's to be expected. And what's missing at this writing (of course, I sent them support tickets on these ) isn't really important (one deals with setting up domain names and the other three are how to set up a wordpress blog) because anyone can pick this up readily.

What I do see out of what he's put together from several affiliates is a system which can start earning you income online with just the time you have available and your internet connection. If you like to talk to your community and business owners, there's ways you can help them make the transition to online so they can help their customers and clients better - ways that most businesses aren't taking advantage of.

And he is actually laying out how to simply deal with people who sign up to your list and open your emails (like the one I sent.) The methods for creating online sales and joint-venture productions (releases) that generate tons of income are all here, and seem to this point to be all valid (I'll keep you posted on this blog as I get them reviewed.)

But I just wanted to assure you that this stuff works and it's available for really cheap, one-time payment. Yes, there are all sorts of services you can opt-in to in order to get some time-payments going and make your credit card companies happy. But the main stuff is simply available for the initial $37 special price. (Of course I shouldn't tell you that as part of "good salesmanship" - but then, you aren't stupid and can see through these pitches - which is why I'm adding this long introduction before this very short pitch below.

If you've been through the Get Yourself Scam Free Lessons, and the Online Sunshine Plan lessons, then you'll love this stuff - it's great to study someone with their own materials. However, you have hours and hours of listening to do (that's the problem with videos - time). As you do study these, you can see exactly how this pitch is going down. It's a great deal of fun, actually.

(Now, I'm collecting these pitches and can dig them up for anyone who wants to study them in retrospect. )

The key point today is to know that you can learn all this stuff and apply it to earn more money from the existing time you have. And yes, you can replace that dreaded day job you have to do right now. It's even possible to actually get into the lifestyle this guy had of living for months at a time in foreign hotels and sucking all their bandwidth down into your laptop - managing your "business" from anywhere on the planet.

Or, like me, you can simply live on a farm and have everything you want, plus incredibly healthy food and time to build great relationships - and do any hobby that makes you happy.

The point of this is to improve your own power of choice and allow to you create the world you've always dreamed of. Learning how to make money online easily is just one of the steps in this.

OK, I took the leap. Signed up and everything.

Of course, I felt I owed it to you after all the snarky comments I made in the earlier research - nothing could be that hokey. I had to check it out for myself - after all, it's a free trip if it didn't work out - guaranteed refund and so on.

Now, like any particular joint venture, you are going to get additional offers. On this site, all of them seem to be good ones. It just depends on what your budget is and what you need to do - and how fast.

The point (IMHO) is to keep your hunger in check. Just because you wind up in a candy store, there's no reason to try to eat everything at once. You want to go in, look around and see what's available.

No one will probably be able to use all of the material here - there's just too much and there isn't any reason to gorge yourself.

The bottom line, after all, is your bottom line.

Now, I haven't gone through all the videos (this takes some time - and some bandwidth.)

But let's go over the first three under Cash Machines:

Under Cash Machines, you'll see Local Cash Machines, Newsletter Cash Machines, Article Cash Machines, and Video Cash Machines.

This section is great for starting right off, and they are all designed with having nothing more than just your own energetic approach and some time. Sure, they all ramp up (like any business), but the point is to get started with what you have - your mind, your two hands, and your time (plus a working internet connection).

I liked the Local Cash Machine - which is great for helping out your local community. Most of the businesses out there aren't Internet savvy, even though they got someone to design a snazzy website for them. They don't know that an email list is something they can make real repeat business from. And they don't know that having a blog will take them to the top of their particular niche in the search engine rankings.

Newsletter Cash Machine goes over the point that a lot of people have lists, but often they either don't mail to them enough to get the most value out of them - or simply got tired of it. Fabricio Cruz, as he did with the Local Cash Machine, go over the simple steps of how you can find and contact these list owners so you can arrange a deal and start marketing to their lists with a regular newsletter. And he gives pointers about what should be in that newsletter to ensure people keep coming right along with you.

Article Cash Machines was my overall favorite so far - but that's because I find it easy to write (too easy, if you want to check out my publishing house) - this is also due to the very personal approach Sue La Pointe takes in working with you so share her inside information about how to write and make money at it. By the end of the third video, I was getting quite excited to get going. Of course, I'm going back to cover these again so I make sure I have it straight - and taking notes this time. But she made it rather simple to get started with this.

Right now, I'm getting ready to watch the Video Cash Machine. And that should be pretty good - lots of people are springboarding off video's into income-producing avenues. So this should be interesting to find the inside information on how it's being done.

And I did jump ahead to some of the other videos - but this is enough for today.

What I sent to my list - reverse marketing

(This is what I sent my own list before I sent them the emails. But I have a different list - they 're mostly anti-scam and a bit more educated than most...)

Sorry to interrupt your life so soon after I just sent you a newsletter, but I ran across something interesting you might find useful - even educational.

This is a unique opportunity. Really unique.

However, we aren't going to approach this normally. Instead we've got this singular chance to learn how some of this Internet Marketing (IM) works. I just found someone's "Big Offer" is coming out. And we can learn from this as he does it.

Because the people who have given me their email have also given me their trust. And I've personally talked with many of you and know some of what you've been through. The whole point is to not send you "just another pitch".

Now the problem with IM has always been its hype. Now, the only difference between marketing and a scam is the intent. The intent proves the result. But in between the lines, there are some fascinating lessons to learn.

Unfortunately, I don't know how far you've gotten on the lessons I've left for you. The two I'd recommend are "Get Your Self Scam Free" and "Online Millionaire Plan".

Once you have these under your belt, then you now are able to dissect what these marketers are actually doing based on what you now know. It becomes a very fascinating study at that point. Particularly and only because you can do this dissection from an ethical view. (And those who do scam with this knowledge reap exactly and completely what they sow - even if you warn them. Because they don't trust anyone.)

The reason I'm sending this to you is to give you your chance to decipher the way these guys get people to buy. To get people into action with their credit cards - which is a virtual level of change, creating a tiny level of trust in their potential clients. This will tell you more about yourself and your buying habits than you really want to know.

What you do with that knowledge is up to you. My own view is to use this to improve this world - to help it wake up as it's currently doing. We can help them all do it faster.

All the sales pages, all the videos are simply ways to manipulate the common programming that most people have. That programming says that marketing is simply a numbers game - that out of every 100 people, 3 will usually buy what you offer. Some particular techniques will speed this up and create greater than usual responses.

If you know marketing, you can then give people a wider choice. You can steer them into simply accessing the data which will allow them to re-program themselves any way they want. All these lessons have been around since time immemorial - but recently, some of the remaining few pieces have fallen together. [Such as I wrote up in "Freedom Is (period.)"]

Within these, you'll be able to learn the basics of everything there is to Marketing and Sales - after that, it's just practice. And if you've only been a buyer up to this point, you can use this data to sort out that programming. Sure, there seems to be a lot of re-programming needed. But it gets faster as you go. For now, there's this "hot release" starting up on Clickbank.

And if you poke around on his site, you'll find how to become an affiliate so you can get some of this inside scoop.

I have a great deal more to go over with you as I can - some I continue to find as I go - but we can start with this. I'm sorry if this catches you a bit flat-footed. As the saying goes, "Luck is opportunity met with preparation."

As I said above, this is a window we can use to jump in on this learning experience. A couple of weeks, anyway, before the thing goes live. But all he's covering here is a prime example of Internet Marketers marketing to Internet Marketers, which is one of the funniest jokes I've witnessed for awhile. It's a very competitive, cut-throat field. But salesmen love a good pitch. Once you get through the above lessons, you'll see the bulk of what this guy Anthony Trister is doing with very standard online sales techniques.

I'm just suggesting that you go ahead and sign up as an affiliate even if you don't have a list to offer it to.

Because I think learning from this scenario is even more fascinating than making money from it. But then, I'm probably wired a little different - especially since I went through all I have and lived to write about it.

Otherwise, I'd just send you an offer so you could get hooked, and I'd then get a nice little affiliate check later. And I will be, later. But there's a couple of weeks you can use between now and then to study up and scam-proof yourself against any and all sales offers - and be on the inside of while this is getting released. And it's more important to me that you get yourself more free than any amount of money I get paid from affiliate sales.

Yes, you are just one of a handful on this planet right now who are able to learn from the inside out. My list just isn't that big - and the percentage of people who have signed up to learn something about Internet marketing is not the biggest part of it. So this is your personal, special offer. And again, you're one of a very tiny few who know.

Of course, you can simply skip this. But if you've read to this point, then you might as well go the rest of the way. It's that red pill/blue pill question.

Why the Training in Coffee Shop Millionaire site seems worth it.

I'm pretty much scam-free after writing the book on this. And I'm not asking you to believe anything I say. As well, being raised in the Midwest, we have a phrase: "I'm from Missouri, and you are just going to have to show me." Put up or shut up, in short.

So when I plunk down my hard-earned cash for something which will make money online, you know I think it's worth the risk.

And I'm plunking this down one small step at a time. Because I've been here before - and am on the lookout for how these scenes can be made to operate.

What reasons I have for trusting this Andrew Trister - even though I've never met him - is that he's putting his own name on the line. If this is a failure, it will probably only take one more of these and he'll never be able to put his personal name on anything again. The places I've been before were where they had a front man, but his name really wasn't on anything - the scammers all hid behind a corporate name. So when they picked up and moved (either the money ran out, or the government and lawsuits caught up with them) they'd simply put up another corporate name and start over. I've actually seen reports where a sales floor call center was legally declared bankrupt but someone trying to contact that company just found another call center doing exactly the same thing from those phone lines under a different name.

When you put your own personal name on the line, you own the results. (This is what makes Presidents both hated and loved at the same time - lack of results you wanted.) But when a marketer puts his own name on something, it had better be good - because he's going to be affecting his income for the rest his life. (Or hers.)

You can look up any organization by just putting the word "scam" after it and will quickly find out who is running it. And their names are simply mud from that point on out. (If you search for my name on the Internet, you'll find it all over the place - so I know what a brand is and what it reflects.)

I've been spending some hours looking up Andrew Trister, and finding mostly that he's been doing this type of thing for awhile. His latest big project of note was the "Arbitrage Conspiracy" - which was a big scene. And the worst comment I've been able to find was that someone was "still friends" with Trister, in spite of some un-named fallouts from that program. (Something to do with the inability to keep up with support issues.)

I don't see that this has the same level of problems with it. No, I didn't get involved with any of his earlier programs. This current program is really just pre-recorded lessons and some email support. That type of scene I have investigated thoroughly (as it's one of the more common scams out there - over subscribed and under-supported). But since Trister is not out-sourcing his support, this isn't the problem scammers have.

This Coffee Shop Millionaire is simply a microcosm of joint-venture list marketing.

The reason I'm getting involved in this is that the idea struck a chord. It seems to be a logical extension of what most people would love to have - certainly I would. Passive income and working your own hours without the demands of schedules, dress code, commuting, etc.

Research into this simply brings up the point of marketers co-joining to expand their lists and profits.

What is interesting in this one is that the release is about how to make a release happen. Essentially, one of the curtains has been drawn back to one degree or another. This is a fascinating opportunity to study this from the inside out.

While I've bought my own access into this network, the bugs aren't out of the system itself right now. After all, we are actually in pre-pre-release. My own email for support was answered right after the weekend was over. And I'll be signing up for more later today.

Tomorrow I'll then give you some additional information about the quality and usefulness of the data.

As Trister points out in his video, these are mine to download and keep from that point on out. Plus he says he'll refund every penny if it doesn't work out.

That alone is quite different from the scammers I've had to deal with - who hid behind a 3-day clause in their state's statutes. While this sets up making a $47 monthly payment from there on out, that charge is right up front and you have to check that you understand it before you can sign up. Nice big letters, easy to read. A scam will set that in small print.

Tomorrow, I should have something for you that's more concrete.

While the release is still a couple weeks away, I wanted to give you some of this scoop ahead of time. You deserve to have factual reviews available to find your way around this offer - regardless of whether you take it or not. That's all part of being able to make your own choices.

This one by someone called "davejames04" (how's that for fostering trust?) has had some access to the actual material and gives a relatively sedate over view.

Now, the same video over at DailyMotion has this as a blurb:

Can you just get all the emotions this thing generates?

Look, I'm the original "oh no, not another scam..." guy. In fact I wrote the book on how to "Get Your Self Scam Free." So when a snazzy video with all the bells and whistles comes out, I generally tend to wonder how much this is going to cost me...

And unfortunately, there are only about 5 videos out there just two weeks before the release - and these are the best of them. (And at this viewing, they are only about 3-5 views each. One tops out at 10...) So we are in a black-out of data.

Now, digging through Google, I found this down at number 10 - well, it was linked to a Hub page which sat there at actual #10. In addition to the puffery (you can check it out yourself at http://thecoffeeshopmillionairebonus.com/review/) there's this graphic:

There is just simply no way to understand what all this is about. Go ahead, check out that site and see what you figure out about it. (A priceless "Resource Rolodex"?)

A little more research (onto page 2 of Google, where it gets really skimpy), I find the following brief description:

Now an article a couple of days ago (Feb 2) says:

By this time, my research took my way past Google's page 4, and the entries are simply falling apart. Just no data available at this point.

What's a guy to do?

You're really left with the data on his JV invite page (http://www.coffeeshopmillionaire.com/jv-invite/), where Trisker tells you all about this offer without telling you anything - even despite the fact you have all sorts of blanked out reciepts and records and so on.

At this point, it looks like a low intro price of $37 and then a monthly payment after that. It's primarily a training course, so what's the deal? Now, this "unlimited phone support" could be useful - but if they get a couple thousand people into this deal, who is actually going to be answering the phones?

Worse, there looks to be some "top-down" control of who you can actually promote for. Some sort of centralized JV scene, if these articles and "independent" reviews (which all have an affiliate link) can be trusted.

Summary: At this point, we are getting into a system which tells you how to do great releases - real million-dollar money-makers. Of course, you're going to be supporting Trister while he trains you on his personal system. If you are really, really good at getting people to sign up, then there's some sort of split of this system - like a two-tier affiliate gig. But you factor in the point that about 3% of 3% actually make that millionaire status - and the 10,000 hours a person has to exert to really become expert at something (as in "Outliers" by Gladwell) and you'll see that the cards are really stacked against you. The trick is going to be how well Trister delivers his training...

Caveat Emptor is all I can say.

However, the research continues (in between sips of my cafe' latte' grande) ;)

Coffee Shop Millionaire - a learning experience

This is a unique opportunity. Really unique.

However, we aren't going to approach this normally. Instead we've got this singular chance to learn how some of this Internet Marketing (IM) works. I just found someone's "Big Offer" is coming out. And we can learn from this as he does it.

The problem with IM has always been its hype. Now, the only difference between marketing and a scam is the intent. The intent proves the result. But in between the lines, there are some fascinating lessons to learn.

Unfortunately, I don't know how far you've gotten on the lessons I've left for you. The two I'd recommend are "Get Your Self Scam Free" and "Online Sunshine Plan".

Once you have these under your belt, then you now are able to dissect what these marketers are actually doing based on what you now know. It becomes a very fascinating study at that point. Particularly and only because you can do this dissection from an ethical view. (And those who do scam with this knowledge reap exactly and completely what they sow - even if you warn them. Because they don't trust anyone.)

The reason I'm sending this to you is to give you your chance to decipher the way these guys get people to buy. To get people into action with their credit cards - which is a virtual level of change, creating a tiny level of trust in their potential clients. This will tell you more about yourself and your buying habits than you really want to know.

What you do with that knowledge is up to you. My own view is to use this to improve this world - to help it wake up as it's currently doing. We can help them all do it faster.

All the sales pages, all the videos are simply ways to manipulate the common programming that most people have. That programming says that marketing is simply a numbers game - that out of every 100 people, 3 will usually buy what you offer. Some particular techniques will speed this up and create greater than usual responses.

If you know marketing, you can then give people a wider choice. You can steer them into simply accessing the data which will allow them to re-program themselves any way they want. All these lessons have been around since time immemorial - but recently, some of the remaining few pieces have fallen together. [Such as I wrote up in "Freedom Is (period.)"]

As I said above, this is a window we can use to jump in on this learning experience. A couple of weeks, anyway, before the thing goes live. But all he's covering here is a prime example of Internet Marketers marketing to Internet Marketers, which is one of the funniest jokes I've witnessed for awhile. It's a very competitive, cut-throat field. But salesmen love a good pitch. Once you get through the above lessons, you'll see the bulk of what this guy Anthony Trister is doing with very standard online sales techniques.

I'm just suggesting that you go ahead and sign up as an affiliate even if you don't have a list to offer it to.

Because I think learning from this scenario is even more fascinating than making money from it. But then, I'm probably wired a little different - especially since I went through all I have and lived to write about it.

Otherwise, I'd just send you an offer so you could get hooked, and I'd then get a nice little affiliate check later. And I will be, later. But there's a couple of weeks you can use between now and then to study up and scam-proof yourself against any and all sales offers - and be on the inside of while this is getting released. And it's more important to me that you get yourself more free than any amount of money I get paid from affiliate sales.

Yes, you are just one of a handful on this planet right now who are able to learn from the inside out. My list just isn't that big - and the percentage of people who have signed up to learn something about Internet marketing is not the biggest part of it. So this is your personal, special offer. Of course, you can simply skip this. But if you've read to this point, then you might as well go the rest of the way. It's that red pill/blue pill question.

Blogging is over-rated for making any income. Again, to really rank, you have to love writing - or it's just another job. With Flipping Websites, you really need some background in how websites are designed and what people think is valuable in them. If they are already configured for Adsense, that's a plus, but you also have to know their PR rank and general traffic. Best is to get them producing money for you so you have statistics to show. Clickbank is affiliate marketing. All the goods here are digital downloads. And your best bet is to study up on using Clickbank from several sources to most effectively monetize this source.
Google Adsense is way over-rated for making any income. It's turned out to be a minor money-maker for just high-traffic blogs. Check out reviews of people who have done this before you sink a lot of time into designing your website around these ads.

Clickbank.com is basically the number 1 place for ebooks and digital download products. For potential buyers Clickbank is a great way to find good, usable information on pretty much any topic you can imagine--from dating advice, to health advice, and a ton more.

For affiliates like yourself, Clickbank is a great way to make cash. Here is how it all works:

1. Sign Up and Do Some Product Research - To start, you will need an account. That's easy to get, just sign up at Clickbank.com. Then you should start researching a "niche". Focus on something specific. For example, instead of just "golf" try finding a product on "stopping golf slices".

2. More Research, Get Links - Once you've done some initial market research and found a few, specific products, narrow it down to your top 1 or 2. Review the sales page, and check out the Gravity of the product (Gravity basically indicates what is selling right now). Usually, the higher the Gravity, the better the chance you have to make a sale.

Try out the product yourself if you can, and always ask for review copies. Talk to the vendor himself. If the vendor isn't professional and responsive, then that may indicate its not a very good product to promote.

Don't be spammy and constantly try to sell in forums. Rather, just be yourself and try to be as helpful as possible.

Just because you built that glorious, cutting-edge, user-friendly website - it doesn't mean anyone is ever going to find it. Even if you announce it to search engines, it doesn't mean they are even going to index your site - I've seen this happen more than once. And guess what? Those site owners can never make money online.

The secret to traffic appears to be backlinks. Other people can tell you it's tweets from Twitter, or mentions on Facebook - but what are you really looking at? Those tweets and Facebook posts have what?

Backlinks.

If someone simply said "go out on the web and look for someone named Joe Schmoe who has a website" - well, you just guessed it. Chances are next to none.

Even if you only had a single page which had an offer to buy your product - you'd get tons of traffic if you had backlinks out there so people could actually find your site.

A lot of people will create a wonderful web site or webpage and expect that visitors will come across it. They invest the bulk of their time in building a set of gorgeous web pages and even setting up probably the most amazing sales funnel for their clients, then they will merely sit and wait for the flood of traffic to arrive... And it never does.

What are Backlinks?

Okay, so what are back links? Backlinks are links pointing to your web site and to your internal pages. These are recognized as inbound links or backlinks. These links can originate either from other people's web site, web directories, article submission sites, feeder web-sites such as Squidoo or Hubpages, forums, blogs and even from internal linking in your very own web site.

Without having to learn all about search engine optimization (SEO), consider that getting your site found easily in the search engines is like a three-legged stool. Having incoming keywords helps that stool stand up. And that is what we are talking about today. (The other two, themeed/optimized pages and popularity, are subjects for later articles.)

Google and other search engines rely on backlinks to tell them the quality of your site and its relative meaning, along with other factors. The more high-quality (relevant) in-coming links, the more they say your site can be trusted and will elevate your rankings. The higher your rankings, the more likely people will click on your site when it comes up in searches.

What your site needs it good quality backlinks in order to 1) get into the search engine rankings at all, and 2) climb your way to the first page (where the majority of clicks occur).

Good quality Backlinks

Good quality backlinks contain the exact search phrase you designed your site to support. Suppose you had a site which sold a new brand of dog collar. So you want incoming links to have the phrase "dog collar" in them. Google would look at all these pages and say to themselves, "Oh, it's obvious other people think his site is about dog collars," and then give you better rankings for people looking that search term up in their browsers.

And so you look up all the key search phrases (also known as keywords) which your product has to offer, and then get backlinks into your page which offers that product. Or, at least that's the simple view of it.

Now we could go into an intense amount of description how to pick out keywords, the competition problems and so on. Again, that's another article. Let's just say that you did your homework before you built that page and know the key phrases people use when they look for products like yours. (And don't worry. If you haven't done this, it can be done starting now and then just tweak your page a bit - not a total re-design.)

Your objective really should be to rank on page one of Google's results for every main keyword. The strategy is to keep developing incoming links until you are on page 1 for the top 15 key phrases on your list. Only then would you consider adding additional search phrases to target.

Site Traffic From High Page Rank Web-sites

Initially, inside your link building campaigns commence by acquiring backlinks from high page rank web-sites. High page ranked internet sites get a lot of traffic and they get spidered by the search engines far more regularly. Your traffic will consist of people following those in-coming links directly and also from search engines.

To get backlinks, good quality backlinks, links along with your search phrases in them, you are going to will need a marketing campaign. Round up your keywords and phrases, discover the high page rank web-sites you want to get backlinks from and go to work.
